The Mallorcan entity distributes more than 100 kg of pork between the collaborating entities of the ALISOL project to enrich the diet of the most needy.
Thus, last week the ALISOL project managers distributed exactly 104 kg of pork (63 kg from the slaughterhouse of the Son Barceló farm in Felanitx, and the remaining 41 kg of a private donation) among five of the beneficiary entities: La Viña, Es Refugi, Little Sisters of the Poor, Fundació Tardor and Ebenezer Maranata.
“Thanks to the donation from the Foundation, we were able to prepare two piglets for all the users of our soup kitchen. They were very happy because they only eat suckling on Christmas day” they explain from Es Refugi.
The solidarity food program of the Barceló Foundation, ALISOL, was created with the aim of supplying fresh products such as fruits, vegetables, tubers, meat and fish among various associations of Mallorca to people with difficulties. In this way, they can also have access to quality products and enjoy a varied and balanced diet.
