More than a hundred people attended last night the opening of the new painting exhibition of the Barceló Foundation at its headquarters in Felanitx (Bisbe Puig Street, 1).
Last Friday, the Barceló Foundation inaugurated a new exhibition of paintings by the artist P. Peré, on the occasion of the seventeenth edition of the Nit de l’Art of the village.
Entitled “Fragments…” and composed by 19 works, it summarizes the symbolist and dreamlike trajectory of the painter through her oil paintings and engravings.
The event was attended by the mayor of Felanitx, Jaume Montserrat, the first deputy mayor Catalina Soler and the third deputy mayor for culture, Melanie Mesquida; the president of the Barceló Foundation, Francisca Barceló and the curator of the exhibition Pilar Pujol.
The night passed calmly and with an orderly and respectful affluence with the sanitary measures.
More than 30 venues and over a hundred artists took part in this edition, thus gradually recovering the splendour of this emblematic night.
In addition to this collection of paintings, visitors also enjoyed the exhibition “Faces with Soul” by María Vich and the permanent exhibition of the Foundation’s Contemporary Collection.
The exhibition its free until 27 September 2021. Visiting hours on 21, 22, 25, 26 and 27 August will be from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the occasion of the patron saint’s festivities of Sant Agustí.
