This January, the Barceló Foundation has opened the First Call for Development Aid, through which it will allocate a total of 100.000 euros to international cooperation projects aimed at improving the living conditions of the most disadvantaged people and groups in the world’s poorest countries.
“Since our beginnings, the main activity of Barceló Foundation has been the promotion of international cooperation projects in the most needy countries of Africa and Latin America. Although until now we have been evaluating the proposals as they have come in, from this year we have decided to draw up a line of aid with clear bases, so that the entities can find out about our priority areas of action and present their initiatives,” explains Antonio Monjo, managing director of the Barceló Foundation.
Until February 8th, interested entities can send their projects to the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
On the foundation’s website www.fundacionbarcelo.org you will find the rules and the application form that must be completed in order to be eligible for the call.
“Entities may present their cooperation projects for a maximum value of 20.000 euros. Priority will be given to those aimed at universal access to education; health; drinking water, sanitation, basic living conditions, social services, infrastructure, rural development, he promotion of food safety and sovereignty “, explains Monjo.
After the deadline for submission of proposals, an evaluation committee will study and analyze each of the applications received and issue the official communication with the selected entities.
