This morning the Foundation made public the resolution of its 3rd call for grants to carry out charitable projects in Mallorca.

This 2020 the Mallorcan entity will support a total of 18 associations and will invest almost 150 thousand euros in carrying out actions of a preventive nature, assistance, integration and reintegration for people in need on the island, who do not receive any kind of aid from the public administration.

Maria Antonia Barceló, president of the Barceló Foundation, said that “it is a great satisfaction for the Foundation to be able to support entities in Palma, Inca, Sa Pobla and Manacor that work in areas as diverse as health, education, professional training, care for the physically and mentally disabled, the reintegration of women into the workforce, etc.

As a novelty, this year, six new associations have been incorporated: Ires Foundation, Zaqueo, Mallorca Integra, Deixalles Foundation, Ela Balears and Pere Tarrés Foundation, which shows that the Foundation’s call for proposals is increasingly popular within the sector.

In addition, the Barceló Foundation has taken the opportunity to extend its grants, amounting to 126.000 euros to another 18 social entities that were selected in the previous call for proposals in 2019. All of them have projects underway that have not yet been completed.

The ceremony to award the grants was attended by the President of the Barceló Foundation, Maria Antonia Barceló, the Managing Director of the Foundation, Antoni Monjo, the technical manager of the call for applications, Tolo Márquez, and representatives of the 36 charities that signed the collaboration agreement to obtain the grants.
