The Barceló Foundation makes a donation of clothing to different charities in Mallorca

2016.05.26 //

The Mallorcan organization disinterestedly delivers 731 pieces of new clothes to six social organizations on the island. It is estimated that more than 700 children between 0 and 14 will benefit.

The Old Alumni Association of Montisión is one of the entities that most pieces of clothing has received due to the volume of beneficiaries, amounting to about 400 families each month. Through its project “Children’s wardrobe“, 3 full changes of clothes are delivered every 2 months to those who need it.

Cristina Conti, project manager, says “this selfless donation by the Foundation we’ll be great, because we were at a stage where we could not meet all demands. So we thank them from the heart. “

Amaranta Duane is 30 years old and has 2 dependent children, 8 and 3 years old and tells us “I have no job and no money to eat, so imagine buying clothes for the children.” But today, when going to the association for their bags, she has had a pleasantly surprise “I have been given t-shirts, pants, skirts and poles donated by the Barceló Foundation. I am very grateful for my children will feel special wearing new clothes never used before”.

Since its inception, the Barceló Foundation is not only concerned with meeting the basic needs of those most in need, but also the integral development of the person. And in the case of children, even more.
