One more year, Barceló Foundation has renewed the sponsorhip agreement with choral music, founded by Mr. Bernat Julia, for the 2019-2020 season.
The Capella, directed by José Maria Moreno, has scheduled a total of 18 concerts for this new season, two of them abroad; one in the Cathedral of Viseu (Portugal) and the other in one of the most important auditoriums in the world, the K.K.L of Switzerland, where the choir will perform alongside the Zurich Symphony Orchestra.
In Majorca they will interpret the traditional “Sibil-la Party”, which takes place on 26th in Cathedra of Palma and its famous tribute concert in Sant Salvador, Felanitx.
In addition, this new season the Capella has incorporated new voices to increase its artistic quality; more specifically 4 sopranos, 3 contraltos, 2 basses and 3 tenors.
The Barceló Foundation has been supporting coral slabs economically and logistically since 1999, so this year marks 20 years of its sponsorship. “One more year we want to thank the Barceló Foundation because thanks to its support one of the most veteran corals in Mallorca can continue to develop its brilliant trajectory”, says José Maria Moreno.
For its part, the Capella Mallorquina is one of the most prestigious choirs on the island and promotes the name of Majorca wherever it goes. They offer their next concert this Thursday, November 14th, at 19 hours in the church of San Jaime, in Palma.
