Once again, the Foundation occupies the first positions in the transparency ranking of Spanish family foundations, prepared by the Commitment and Transparency Foundation.

This is the conclusion of the “Build Confidence 2009-2018” Report. The Barceló Foundation correctly complies with most transparency indicators analyzed, among which the definition of the mission, the description of the projects and activities carried out and their beneficiaries, economic independence, the publication of the bylaws stand out and the good government code for public information, etc.

The report includes a sample of the 117 most important foundations of our country, both business and family, such as the Amancio Ortega Foundation, the Barrié Foundation, the Botín Foundation, the Luca de Tena Foundation, the Rafael del Pino Foundation and the Foundation Roviralta, among others.

It should be noted that this year the report is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Its authors point out that in 2009 in the US more than 70% of the foundations published their economic information, while in Spain only 4% did so. 10 years later, most Spanish foundations already comply with these requirements of transparency and good governance practices and are being compared to the level of other countries
