“Portocolom”, new painting exhibition at the Felanitx Center of Arts and Culture

Last Friday, Barcelo Foundation inaugurated a new exhibition of painting by the Majorcan artist Daniel Codorniu, on the occasion of the 54th edition of the municipality.

The exhibition is composed of a total of 18 works with this area of the Majorcan coast as an absolute protagonist. In “Portocolom”, Codorniu remains true to his own style characterized by an impressionist technique and his particular light capture, together with expressionism in the use of the color that defines him so much.

In addition to this collection of paintings, more than 1.000 visitors could also enjoy the new exhibition “Faces with Soul” by María Vich and the permanent exhibition of the Foundation’s Contemporary Collection.

The event was attended by the president of the Council of Majorca, Catalina Cladera; the Councilor of culture of Felanitx City Council, Xisco Duarte; the President of the Barceló Foundation, Mª Antonia Barceló, the guest artist of the Foundation, Daniel Codorniu and the Commissioner of the exhibition, Pilar Pujol.

The exhibition can be enjoyed, totally free, until 29th September at the Felanitx Center of Arts and Culture of the Barceló Foundation (C/ Bisbe Puig nº1). Visiting times are every Sunday from 10:30 to 13:30 hours, except on 29th, 30th and 31th, which will also be open from 20 to 22 hours, on the occasion of the Patron Saint’s festivities of Sant Agustí.
